Meth suspects caught in Oak Grove raid

ADVERTISEMENTS

Four people were cited in an Oak Grove trailer-park raid last night though an investigation by the Clackamas County Inter-agency Task Force, a specially trained cooperative of local law-enforcement agencies that targets methamphetamine.

Starting in early July, the CCITF started receiving complaints from several neighbors indicating frequent foot and vehicle traffic making short visits at 2615 SE Courtney Ave., #7. This mobile home park is designated for tenants 55 and older, so all the younger visitors drew their attention to suspect drug activity.

Neighbors provided key information about the times and nature of the traffic, which led to an investigation into the trailer. During the investigation, members of CCITF observed the frequent traffic and were able to determine many of the visitors had criminal histories, including drug arrests.

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office formed the opinion there was drug activity occurring upon learning that 58-year-old Darrell Lee Lamb was living in the trailer. Methamphetamine was seized from the residence along with meth paraphernalia, packaging materials, cutting agent, scales and a stolen laptop computer.

Lamb was lodged for unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful delivery of a controlled substance. His criminal history includes 36 arrests, with many being drug charges, and he was released from probation for a previous meth charge on July 23.

The search warrant also led to the arrest of 61-year-old Wayne Douglas Salmonson for the same charges as Lamb, plus theft of a laptop. Salmonson had 45 previous arrests for a variety of crimes including assaults, thefts and previous meth charges.

Lamb stayed in the trailer after his sister passed away, and Salmonson had moved in with him, according to CCSO Lt. Nick Watt.

Marlin James Bozarth, 38, and Jazzmin Le Lamb, 22, were cited and released for frequenting a place where controlled substances are used and/or sold. Bozarth has a previous arrest for possession of a controlled substance, and Le Lamb has two previous arrests on record.

Police departments from Gladstone and West Linn also assisted the CCITF investigation. Oregon State Police executed the warrant, and a CCSO drug detecting canine assisted with the search.
