OCPD nabs notorious tagger

ADVERTISEMENTS

The Oregon City Police Department have identified and arrested Oregon City resident Matthew Hollenbeck, 19, who admitted responsibility for numerous cases of graffiti within the city. Thirteen multi-colored spray paint cans were seized from Hollenbeck at the time of his arrest.

Hollenbeck's tagging name is ACE, which he placed all over the city in multiple colors. During the investigation this month, Hollenbeck told Officer Steve Brown that he was sorry for all the graffiti, and that it got out of control and he knew it would catch up to him.

Brown's investigation is continuing due to others that have tagging with or had tagging wars with Hollenbeck.

The public is invited to contact OCPD's tip line at 503-496-1616 with information regarding tagging in Oregon City.
