Authorities are searching for the person or people responsible for setting off a homemade bomb on a bicycle path that runs parallel to I-205 last night.
The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office said the device was ignited on a bike path that runs along the highway near Strawberry Lane on the west side of the highway. A sheriff’s deputy was driving southbound on the highway around 9:30 p.m. when he saw a flash and a plume of light.
The deputy searched the scene, but was unable to find any suspects. However, the sheriff’s office did recover garments of the device that investigators will pursue to perform a forensic analysis. In addition, a copy of this criminal report is being forwarded to the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF).

Your sheriff is an idiot if he wants to sound the "IED RUN!" alarm because of some 6th graders who put dry ice in a coke bottle.
