Trick or treat with a purpose at coffee shop

Wind Horse Coffee and Tea will host a unique book signing/face painting Halloween event Saturday, Oct. 31, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the coffee shop, located at 10611 SE Main St. in Milwaukie.

Featured is the new release of “U.N.I.Q.U.E. KIDS: Growing My Leadership Garden,” by Oregon author Debra Slover and illustrator Darlene Warner.

One free character face painting from the story will be available with the purchase of each book along with additional face painting by Warner.
